Aberdares
Though smaller in size, Aberdare National Park offers a safari experience unlike Kenya’s iconic savannah destinations such as the Masai Mara. Nestled in the Central Highlands, the park was established to protect the Aberdare Mountain range and features two rare ecosystems for Kenya: misty moorlands and lush montane rainforest.
This unique setting provides dramatic scenery and rewarding game viewing, especially in the eastern forested area known as the Salient. Elephants, buffalo, leopards, and other wildlife thrive in this cool, high-altitude habitat.

The Mara River and its tributaries are alive with crocodiles and pods of hippos, adding to the drama of the landscape.
