Maasai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve is located in southwestern Kenya and is a massive, eye-catching expanse of gently rolling African savannah plains, measuring 1,510 km² in area and bordering the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the south. The reserve has the largest population of lions in the entire country. It is also home to the marvel that is the wildebeest migration experienced between July and October. The migration involves millions of wildebeests and zebras crossing the crocodile infested Mara River into the Mara from Serengeti in Tanzania. They are also tracked by the big cats before and after they cross making the migration truly action packed and impossible to forget.
