Chyulu Hills Safari
Chyulu Hills is a rugged wilderness with evidence of its volcanic origins and boasting the most exclusive and breathtaking views of Mt Kilimanjaro. It is a craggy clutter of ancient volcanic cones and craters, as well as the longest lava tube in the world. The park is placed between Tsavo West National Park and Amboseli National Park and boasts outstanding and diverse landscapes. The wildlife in Chyulu Hills include cheetahs, antelopes, black rhino, zebra, giant elands, wildebeests, steenbok, bush bucks, bush pig, elephants and lions. Lake Jipe lies in the south-west corner of the park and is a haven for birdwatchers with bird species such as the knob billed geese, pied kingfisher, white backed night heron, black heron palm-nut vulture and African skimmer. The park has luxurious accommodation facilities such as Oldonyo Lodge where guests can relax and chill after a full day in the wild.
